Ink & watercolor
A wild and free running wolf amidst a spring explosion of crabapple blooms and branches.
The neighborhood I used to live in when I created this piece was full of beautiful flowering trees. Spring blooming trees are so lovely and fleeting!
I created this artwork with my most often used method: pencil drawing, then inking the pencil linework, then watercolor. It was really fun to come up with a soft and earthy spring color palette for this one. Like many of my works, I created an additional repeating pattern variation of the artwork so it can be used on fabrics, stationery, and other items.
